Royal Mail to recruit 20,000 Christmas helpers

The temporary recruits will help to sort Christmas cards and parcels and online shopping orders before they are taken to around 1,400 delivery offices

Royal Mail is seeking to employ 20,000 temporary workers to help sort the Christmas post and manage an increasing amount of online Christmas shopping, the company has said.

The roles are temporary, with contracts running from late October through to early January next year, with the most work available in December.
